Although once we hit our lovely flat part through “the bowl” of the hills things went a little downhill again. So far this has all sounded rather miserable and a terrible experience and I wont lie, at times it was and the descent was no better (which I will come to). As you make your way further up, there are parts that are more like steep, muddy stairs which makes it easier but no less daunting if you look down.
